If you’d prefer to have a hearing aid that sits outside of the ear, we offer two types that you can choose from. The Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aid offers more circuitry options and more power than other custom made, in-the-ear hearing aid types. It rests on the back of your ear and is connected to a custom-made earmold.
The Open Behind-The-Ear (BTE) uses tiny casings and an almost invisible slim tube. They are very lightweight and are a lot less noticeable, offering a more cosmetically appealing option.
There are three types of hearing aids that we offer that sits inside of your ear. These In-The-Ear (ITE) hearing aids are more visible than BTE hearing aids, but they are the easiest to handle. The In-The-Canal (ITC) are less visible than ITE’s, but they require a good dexterity to be able to control the volume on the faceplate.
The Completely-In-Canal (CIC) hearing aids are small and fit deep within the ear canal comfortably. They are more cosmetically appealing because they are not noticeable than other types.
